Staying at the B&B Cento19 means knowing, from a green and quiet corner of the historic center, a city rich in art, mosaics, history and culture like Ravenna: just moving on foot through its streets and its magnificent monuments is easier to get in touch with the history and life of an urban complex that houses buildings of the V and VI centuries of astonishing beauty. But Ravenna is also famous for the entertainment offered by its Riviera, from Marina di Ravenna to Cervia, and by the Amusement Park of Mirabilandia, just 14 km from the city; and for the beautiful coastal pinewoods, for the natural oases of the Po Delta Park; and then for the nearby, enchanting hills, where you also find Faenza, city of art famous throughout the world for its ceramics, and the medieval and spa village of Brisighella. A wide, varied and hospitable area, where you can enjoy an excellent, renowned cuisine of meat and seafood and the famous wines of our cellars.

THE MANAGEMENT

B&B Cento19 is managed directly, with the passion and experience of over twenty years of hotel hospitality.
We are located in the historic center of Ravenna, in one of the most quiet and elegant neighborhood of the city, in a street, Via Cura *, of which we have evidences since the fourteenth century, shortly after the death of Dante.

THE BUILDING

B&B Cento19 is a building, with a little garden at the back, built in the fifties, which we completely renovated, trying to preserve the original style of the house.
We wanted to enhance the setting and the atmosphere of the time, but introducing elements of well-being based on the newest technologies: the electrical, water, heating and air conditioning systems are completely new, to ensure our guests comfort and safety to the maximum levels.

BREAKFAST AND COOKING

At breakfast, served at the table, you will find fresh milk, coffee, American coffee, barley coffee, tea and herbal teas of all kinds; Orange juice; yogurt; cold milk and cereals; cakes and bread toasted at the moment; butter, local honey and quality jams. For those who like an English breakfast, on request, scrambled eggs or “eggs and bacon”.
The Romagna cuisine is simple and tasty, and you can enjoy it in the many restaurants and pubs in the center with which we agreed discounts for our guests, but if it happens that you don’t want to go out, do not forget that our kitchen is at your disposal!

PARKING

Convenient parking lots along our road will allow you to forget the car, if you want: a city of art like Ravenna should be experienced and known from the inside. Throughout our Via Cura – important: we are not in a restricted traffic area – you can park on the blue stripes (free from 18:30 to 08:00 and on holidays). About 400 meters far there is a covered parking lot with video surveillance and cheap daily rates. About 200 meters away there are also streets where you can park for free.

OUR POSITION

Ravenna is also famous for the opportunities for fun offered by its Riviera, with renowned seaside resorts such as Marina di Ravenna, Punta Marina Terme, Milano Marittima and Cervia, and the Amusement Park of Mirabilandia, just 13 km from the city. In the nearby enchanting hills you will find also Faenza, city of art famous for its ceramics, and the medieval and spa village of Brisighella.
From Ravenna it is also easy to reach San Marino (the oldest Republic in the world), Florence, Venice, Ferrara and Bologna.

* Let's go back in time: VIA CURA

Originally called “Via del Castello” (“Castle road”) – as it leaded to the Castrum built by da Polenta family, the Lords of the city –, just since 1380 a.D. our street has been recorded as “Via della Cura”. The “Casa della Cura” (“House of Care”) was a textile plant where the clothes were weaved and the yarn was bleached. It was very likely managed by people from Lombardy, so the wide fields next to the “Casa” used for manufacturing were later named “Prati di Bellaria” (“Bellaria fields”). The factory area was delimited on one side by the city walls, on the other side by the Da Polenta’s fort fosses.
